For this module, we are tasked with the discovery of finding what makes being an illustrator, an illustrator. As we go throughout the first 4 weeks of the 2nd year, we will be shown and will learn the fundamental techniques and tools that are commonly associated with illustration as a media, as well as how to properly utilise them to the best of our ability when drawing, painting, etching, etc.

Over time, I will have learned how to use techniques that are using in the analogue/traditional and digital formats; in exploring known and newly learned areas of the topic that we may have not known previously. As well as being able to detect what improvements could be made to our work, and also rectifying flaws and changing our work ethic. The most integral part of this experience however, will be in sharpening our drawing's general skillsets in perspective, tone, texture, etc.

The outcome I will strive to achieve with my time spent on this course, will be to provide a fully developed portfolio of practical work that shows what I have picked up along the way, and showing visual key elements to provide context on this website.

I will also provide several visual tutorials and editorials through videos, images, and informative books that I will discover through the internet, university and my hometown's library, as well as any findings from pre-existing work that I will grab upon first glance that I find to be interesting and helpful to my journey in learning. There will also be peer-assessed critique provided to me through Tony and/or Dwayne's guidance, with some additional input from my peers, as I will be providing them the same sort of informative criticism back to them too.
