Band Logo (3D)
Research/Reference Material
For my next task, we have been asked to develop our 2D logos into a 3D format. I have collected numerous CDs and Vinyl Cases from my own personal collection to get a feel for scale, and compare between 7" and 12". For a 12" Vinyl album cover, I plan on creating a 3D depiction of my initial logo created in 2D, with some additional lighting elements. And for my 7" CD single cover; I will be composing 2 single covers based around a misty graveyard, with a wax candle crow being lit as the focal point. An alternative version will have a gravestone with the band logo and song name on it.
I plan on creating my 3D contents with materials such as broken wire, scrap metal pieces, tin foil, masking tape, and oil/acrylic paints. So far I have experimented with clay, pipecleaners, and card.
