Initial Ideas:
This project was an old and abandoned project from years ago that I left when starting university. I always had the intention to go back to it later on, that being now.
This project follows an interpretation of the mythological character: 'the grim reaper'. And reimagines the character into a teenage girl who protects sleeping people in the world of the living, and prevents nightmares
from taking their souls while they are at their most vulnerable.
This animation is something of a pilot episode for a potential pitch in the future, or something of my own to crowd fund and develop on my own. Now, it has been revamped, re-edited and presented specifically for the final stretch of my university assessment.

When developing this project, I had used an older version of Clip Studio Paint's animation feature, as well as another older version of my preferred video editing software of choice; Wondershare Filmora.
I had taken the old mp4 file from years ago, and imported it into the newest version of Filmora that I decided to buy and upgrade to. Here I could enhance the footage with filters, sound effects and additional edits. |

When I searched for music, I made sure to either ask, or specifically look for music that was made for free-use, royalty free means. These are tracks made by people to then outsource to creatives such as myself who need music or sound effects.
